About Us
CounselingInfidelity.org was started in 2003 by "Erin Pellucid" and "LeeAnn" as a ministry to husbands and wives affected by or involved in the sin of adultery. (Read our stories). Our names are ficticious to preserve our identities. The site was officially relaunched in September, 2007, after the completion of some upgrades and a general "rehauling" of the site.
Our Mission
Our mission at CounselingInfidelity.org is to provide biblical (Nouthetic) counsel in an anonymous setting so that husbands and wives hurt by infidelity may find healing for their wounds and that those enslaved may find victory over their sin. This is done via the internet to accomplish three goals: 1) To afford privacy by way of an anonymous setting for those who may feel uncomfortable visiting a counselor; 2) To allow a group of individuals to learn from one another while still remaining anonymous, and; 3) To provide counselors with another method of contact and accountability outside "office hours." While we believe that all Christians who are in a proper relationship with the Lord are "competent to counsel", we make no claims to be "professional" counselors, nor do we take any responsibility for the actions of those who take our counsel and apply it in an irresponsible manner.
Our counselors are available for Christians and non-Christians alike, but the main purpose of our ministry is to counsel those who have already put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ as their saviour. The Bible is at the core of our counseling methods and therefore, if one does not accept it as his or her "guidebook" for life, we have nothing to offer that person. Any counsel we have to offer is ineffective to an unbeliever, since trying to abide by the Bible is futile without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
Therefore, our primary goal in dealing with non-Christians will be to first lead them to Christ. Once an unbeliever chooses to accept Christ as his or her personal saviour and have faith in Him for healing and victory, then our counseling has validity for his or her life. If you want to know more about how Christ can transform your life, please read this or watch this video. True peace and happiness can only come from Him!
